You must have a 4WD vehicle to book at Snowy River Cabins

This place is special. Chance led us here when we were looking for something different but love and connection made us stay. This place is a retreat, a place of escape, of healing and calm, exhilaration and power, peace, tranquility, laughs and memories. It is disconnection from the world and reconnection with nature and loved ones.

Our property 'Lappi', was named so for its similarities to Lapland by the Finnish family who built the cabins and sauna from solid cedar logs using traditional Scandinavian building methods. The cabins, secluded and nestled into the foothills of the Snowy Mountains High Country, look over the legendary Snowy River. They are self contained, simple and private. Turn off your mobile as there's no service here. Gather wood and laugh by the campfire taking in a million stars, swim in the crystal clear water, spot kangaroos, wombats and echidnas, wait by the river to see the platypus play, or just find sanctuary in the peace of the bush. You'll see why we fell in love and never left.

Snowy River Cabins isn't for everyone. It's a remote location, the 20km of gravel access roads can get very rough and the causeways can get quite deep. It's a 4WD access farmstay, there's no mobile service, no internet and no TVs. The property is around 45 minutes from both Cooma and Jindabyne, make sure you bring everything you need with you, and have plenty of fuel in your 4WD as there are no shops nearby.

Standard cabins can sleep a maximum of 6 occupants. The large cabin can sleep a maximum of 8 occupants. All cabin bookings include bathmat and hand-towel, tea towels, doonas and blankets. Bed linen and towel hire is an optional extra and must be confirmed at the time of your booking. Our cabins are heated and built for cold weather.
