Wondering if it's for you? That's ok, plenty of people do, and it's pretty clear to see that they are wondering what they have got themselves into when they arrive in the dark having driven for what seems like ever on a dark rough country road - we secretly refer to them as cabin converts as when we see them the next day the smiles are hard to get off their faces after waking up to the morning views. Of course feel free to reach out to us for any questions you have, check out our online reviews on Google, TripAdvisor, and jump onto our social media, (links above) - we've been getting into the whole Instagram reel thing lately, and there's a few photo's in the gallery below that will help set the scene for you. Oh and we really think you should take Caroline's advice below and check out the Dalgety Brewery which is just 5km down the road, it's a bit of a match made in heaven and we might be guilty of hitting their brunch offering a few times too many!

There's plenty of other things to do if you're keen to venture off the property so best make that stay a little longer! The Kosciuszko National park is a bit over an hour away and is pretty amazing year round. If you bring your dog we've got you sorted with our day kennels as you can't take your best mate into the park. Closer to home there's some great wining, dining and art options such as Shut the Gate wines and Little Grocer in Berridale for not only some awesome wine but a pretty cool atmosphere and if you're thinking cheese and wine by the campfire this is pretty much a non negotiable place to check out. Out of Bounds Berridale - if you're hitting the slopes, or anytime really, definitely give these guys a call to pick up some amazing pizzas on your way back to the cabins. On the Dalgety side if you want to experience the ultimate in Country Pubs, then you just have to do a beer and meal at the Buckley's Crossing Hotel - you'll be guaranteed a story and a laugh, and Tuscany In Dalgety operates for weekend lunches and is in an amazing rural setting that kind of makes you wonder what it's doing there, that question will definitely be answered as you settle into the cosy atmosphere and take in the scenery over a great meal.

We look forward to welcoming you!!

Great relaxing experience for the whole family

We stayed at the Snowy river cabins on two occasions and enjoyed the experience immensely. The ability to bring our dog with us was a huge plus. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and there is plenty to do at the property for both adults and kids. The cabins are very cosy and comfortable, very warm in winter. All cabins have great views. The access is definitely 4wd only for the very last part as the river levels can rise quickly. The river was nice to swim in in summer and the sauna was a bonus in winter after a day on the slopes. Can't wait to go back again!"

This is the second time at the Snowy River Cabins and we absolutely love it here. It's just fantastic to find somewhere so off the beaten path with no internet connection- what bliss! The drive over from the closest town is just stunning and the kids love going over the ford into the property. The cabins themselves are clean, comfy and have everything you need. We loved cooking over the campfire at night. Hayley and Brendan are the perfect hosts. My kids fell in love with the resident dogs, we were tempted to take CoCo home with us. Definitely head up river on the kayaks and try your luck with finding some fools gold or, the sauna was a hit with my husband this time round. If you have time make sure to try out the Micro brewery down the road.
